Weekend Getaway at ForestHill Tala

The ForestHill resort is a massive resort surrounded by greenery and jungle with more than 100 acres of land. Also its quite located above surrounding a hilly area.

Rooms– They have a lot of options when it comes to rooms. The glass house is super recommended, also they have mud-houses,tents and luxury tents. We opted for a luxury tent here and got a decent service. The luxury tent is huge and well-decorated with frilled curtains. Plus A/c and a cooler with king-sized bed and a huge bathroom. Though it was too hot between 1-4pm inside the luxury tent.

The average rates are around 5-7k per day for this luxury tent.

 

Also they have a Spa, where we opted for a back-massage. Spa treatment was good and highly-recommended. The best part of the property is that the reception area is located around a small lake and an open air. You can call them anytime for a car-service to roam around the property as its divided into 4 levels around the hill. Every level has different activities and rooms.

Pool– The pool is situated just besides the inhouse restaurant of ForestHill Tala. Pool gives a terrific view though.

Prawn farming/ Organic farming – They also have their own Prawn farming site where they grow prawns through seeds and also a detailed information on how the prawns grow, the feeding time, plus an overall idea where it takes atleast 3-4 months to finish a single process of the lot which os ready for export. We definately learned few unseen things here.

Also, they grow vegetables abd fruits at their own farm around the property which include zucchini, brocoli, springonion, raddish, carrot, brinjal, chilly, lettuce leaves, mango, watermelon and many more. They use natural fertilizers and gave a few inputs during the organic farm tour. They have a set plan every year to atleast grow 10-50k plants for the love of Mother-nature.

Pet Zoo- They have a quite nicely maitained Pet zoo which included Turkeys, black chicken also callled Kadaknath chicken, goats, rabbits, australian pigs, emu, ostrich, cows turkey and few more. The zoo was clean and all of them are fed properly twice/thrice a day.

Kuda caves- There are two entrances to visit the 2000 year old caves called Kuda caves. One is the main road outside the property and other which is at the camp-site area inside ForestHill Tala. The architecture of the cave was spellbound, we were blown away by watching this old Buddhist structure made out of a single rock. There were scripts written on the walls during those times, the rooms, also the stupas were amazing. You could also see few Bats inside the caves. As you reach the top of the caves you see a huge  picturesque view of Tala.
