This was indeed a good experience to stay away from the Noises of Mumbai city and enjoy the craziest weather at Attra Farms which is one of the best places in Karjat.
How to reach here– You can catch a train from C.S.T to Karjat or travel via road by ola/uber or your private vehicle. The distance is around 2 hours from Mumbai. Situated near Morbe dam and just 5 minutes away from N.D. Studios this is the place where you should definately mark on your bucket list.
About the Property– The property is huge and surrounded by more than 400 mango trees and vast greenery. They have total 3 bungalows which include 4-5 kingsized bedrooms with a hall and dining area. Rooms are not too fancy but basic and clean. Two huge swimming pools which are around 4-5 ft . You can also spot a temple as you enter the property. As it was raining we enjoyed the foggy view surrounding the mountains with the best ever climate. The place has two garden areas and you also may spot few cute puppies around.
Activities at Attra Farms– There are indoor/outdoor games which you can enjoy out here. Badminton, table-tennis, carrom, chess, rifle-shooting, horse-riding and much more. Rifle-shooting was much interesting and fun. They also have camp-fire and tent sessions where they teach you how to built up a tent but due to heavy rains we couldn’t do that. They are planning to add up more activities on their list for future. If you are lazy then just jump in the pool and have fun. We also visited a private water-fall to enjoy this extraordinary weather which is just few minutes away from the place. These are the few reasons whcih proves that this is one of the best places in Karjat.
Food– The food here is home-made, the vegetables and masalas everything is hand-picked from the farm and made inhouse. No Italian or Mexican options here but trust me they make the best traditional Indian home-made food.
Breakfast– Poha, samosas, Misal-Pav, Omlette,tea,coffee etc.
Mains– Mix Vegetable subzi, Aloo ki subzi, Chicken Kolhapuri, Dal Rice, papad,etc.
You also have an option of picking your own stuff (Fish/ Chicken) and customize as per your order by sending into the kitchen.
Rates– The rates are 3000 per person for a one night stay including all meals plus breakfast and lunch for the next day before check-out which is quite good. They usually prefer larger groups of more than 6 people.
Nature walk and Corporate sessions– We also had a chance to trek around 1-2 kms which was full of greenery. Besides being an agro-tourist resort this place also has cricket and football ground for corporate competitions and other huge groups. You can also plan a Yoga-Camp or any other interesting workshops at this natural paradise. Being one of the best places in Karjat the space here is an added advantage as you can also organise any functions where the capacity is around 200-250 people.
Service and Hospitality – We personally met Charanjit Attra who is the owner of the property. He was very positive and a motivating person. And special thanks to Miten Saraiya who made sure that the stay and experience here would be apt and super comfortable.
